HandiRack User Guidelines
How to use the HandiRack
HandiRack Limitations
The HandiRack portable roof rack is made exclusively for use on the roof of motor vehicles. The total weight of any load should not exceed 80kg(180lbs). Users are advised to consult their vehicle owner's manual to verify maximum roof load capability of their vehicle. This is a temporary load carrying system and should not remain fitted to the vehicle when not in use.
HandiRack on the Roof
It is the user's responsibility to ensure that the fastening devices are tightened correctly and checked regularly throughout the journey. The HandiRack is not a flotation device and must never be used as a swimming aid or toy.
CurtainAirbags
Please be advised that the HandiRack may be unsuitable for use on certain vehicles fitted with curtain airbags. These types of airbag are mostly found on more expensive vehicles and deploy from the top of the window frame downwards.
Using a HandiRack will not trigger a curtain airbag to deploy, but the fitting strap may hinder it from fully opening in the event of a heavy side impact. Customers are advised to consult their car's user manual for further guidance.
The HandiRack can carry loads in excess of 50kg (subject to individual vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations) and is suitable for 4-door and 2-door cars.
